Do you love repurposed furniture, art, handmade jewelry or specialty craft items? If so, then the Vintage Lynchburg market was the place to be this past Saturday. Held in the Urban Garage in downtown Lynchburg, this special event was a treat for those looking for something different and unique! Many items were one of a kind, and many other items could be custom ordered to your liking.
Getting an early start meant standing in line for the opening, but it was worth the wait! I was able to score a special “snowman” for my porch, made of pieces of wood-definitely a favorite of mine. There were only two of these handmade little men, so I was glad I was one of the first to shop. My second purchase was a ladder from the Farmhouse Peddler, that will function as a throw holder for a special area of my home. It was an Annie Sloan chalk paint piece and I am always drawn to those type of items.
Among the other vendors were vintage globes from the Omniterrum, antique furniture from Blue Sky Cottage, bath and body butters from Simply Body and many more. Celebrating in style, the market Christmas tree was made of books and stood in the middle of the garage, positioned perfectly for the spirit of the season. Food aromas circulated throughout, partnered with spiced apple cider and specially brewed roasted coffees.
There are two events- one in the fall and one in Spring, so I can’t wait until April!
